A New Rotary Year!

The installation meeting saw the new board for RY 2023-24 take office, with the website, directory, brochure, and bulletin released during the event.

The club organised several impactful activities and events in the month of July.

In sync with SMILE District priorities we continued to support our adopted school Govt. Girls High School by donating uniforms, contributing to the Mid-day meal programme, provided side curtains for the auditorium in addition to the projector and screen that was provided in the last Rotary Year. Students of Grade 10 who secured A+ in all the subjects were honoured at a public function. We conducted a Cybersecurity awareness class for Grades 8 & 9 students in partnership with Cognizant Outreach, benefiting 100 students.

The club also

supported cancer patients with financial aid and facilitated free cleft correction surgeries.

The support for the Mid-day meal project in the schools at Perumbalam and Girinagar continues.

Fortnightly Eye camps at Balbhavan and an eye screening camp through the Netra van (A Global Grant Project) at Assisi Special School was conducted.
